Mekong Villa + 2days1night cruise (Houeixai - Pakbeng - Luang Prabang). This Villa includes air-conditioning, a private bathroom and a balcony. -Day 1: Houay Xay – Pakbeng (LunchDinner). You will board the traditional slow boat for the cruise down river to the river town of Pakbeng. The journey may take up to 8 hours as it includes stops, visiting villages along the way. You will stop at some Hmong, Yao and Khmu ethnic minority villages and have the opportunity to observe their traditional lifestyle. Arriving at Pakbeng late afternoon you will check in to your beautiful villa at Le Grand and enjoy a few drinks watching the sunset over the mountains and the Le Grand Cruise. -Day 2: Pakbeng – Pak Ou – Luang Prabang (BreakfastLunch) You will visit local markets and enjoy the range of local produce from scorpions, snakes, fishes, frogs on sticks, buffalo skin and varied of organic vegetables from the local hill tribe village’s farm. You then continue downstream past areas of un-spoilt forest with little villages along the riverbanks and perhaps the odd elephant. You will visit a Hmong village and have the opportunity to explore the village and visit Pak-Ou Caves, an ancient pilgrimage site containing thousands of gold lacquered Buddha images left there over hundreds of years. Mekong Villa + 2days1night cruise (Luang Prabang-Pakbeng-Houeixai). This villa features air-conditioning, a private bathroom with bathrobes and a balcony. -Day 1: Luang Prabang – Pakbeng (LunchDinner). Guide and driver transfer you to the boat pier. Mekong Cruiser leaves Luang Prabang at 06:30 for a cruise up the Mekong to Pakbeng. A continental breakfast is served while the boat is cruising to Pak Ou Village, at the mouth of the Nam Ou River,you will visit Tam Thing Caves of a Thousand Buddha. Enjoy a buffet lunch on board. Arrive at Pakbeng around sunset and check-in at Le Grand Pakbeng Resort. Dinner is served on the terrace overlooking the Mekong. -Day 2: From Pakbeng – Houay Xay (BreakfastLunch) at 07:00, board the boat for the second leg of the cruise. En route one stop is made to observe rural life along the Mekong and minorities. Lunch on board and then continue to Houei Sayyou will arrive around 17:00 (you may proceed to Chiang Rai on the same day.)
